MLB Free Agency has begun, players and teams are accepting/declining options, and the MLB Free Agent list is growing. I came across a Top 50 MLB Free Agents for 2008, as well as MLB Free Agents by Position. The free agent crop doesn’t look that good for this year.

While searching for NBA, NFL, and NHL mock Drafts, I came across a few sites which have recently updated their mock draft rankings for the NBA draft, NFL Draft, and NHL Draft. These sites have a good record for keeping things up to date.

Toronto Rock has Cancels the season

That’s right the Toronto Rock season has been cancelled. The league did this to cater to the US Teams need to catch up in the marketing game. A shame… Those games are a blast to watch. Tons of scoring and scraps.

Maybe next year. Hopefully the players can hang on for a year and will come back to more money next..

I agree, play him on the PP but Let’s not forget that although not a defensive defensman, he still works best at his defense position. Let’s max out his conrtibution for 4 million a year but not try to squeeze too much out of him…

A Big Night in Baseball Tonight?

Could tonight be the night that 3 milestones are reached?  Can A-Rod join The 500 Home Run Club tonight as the Yankees host the White Sox tonight in New York?  Can Tom Glavine finally reach the ever elusive 300 career win plateau?  Is tonight the night that Barry Bonds ties the biggest record of them all, the overall Home Run Record?  Well we might see one or maybe even 2 of those milestones reached tonight, as it is doubtful that Bonds will play tonight against the Dodgers.   Alex Rodriguez seems the most likely to reach his milestone tonight as he faces Jose Contreras, who he has not hit a homer off but he has had 2 home runs in 28 at-bats against the White Sox this year.  As for Tom Glavine, will he have the right stuff tonight in Milwaukee?  As he has struggled in his last 12 starts posting a 5.43 ERA during that stretch. Also going 0-3 in his last 5 road starts with an inflated ERA of 11.96.
